Q. How can you help me to lose weight with hypnosis ? I thought it was just about exercise and portion control.

A. Hypnosis can help you to reduce your portion sizes and encourage the desire to exercise, but with hypnosis we deal with the root causes of why you are eating incorrectly in the first place. By addressing the root causes, healing them and instilling new behaviour patterns, you can experience permanent weight loss in a cravings free manner.

Q. I am a little skeptical and also concerned about losing control with hypnosis.

A. I invite you to research hypnosis and determine for yourself how safe and natural the process is; visit our links for a starting point. You are always in control and your subconscious mind will not take you anywhere you are not ready to go. Healing is done before you bring yourself out of hypnosis, so you return feeling relaxed and calm.

Q. What are your credentials for running a weight loss program?
As well as offering you the benefits of my own personal experience, I am a Nutrition & Wellness Specialist, certified by Can-Fit-Pro. Providing guidance from a physical, nutritional and holistic perspective. We can set goals, and work incrementally towards the goals that you seek. This program is designed to work alongside eating recommendations from Health Canada and sufficient exercise you enjoy, from the their Physical Activity Guide.

Q. How long does it take before I lose weight?

Everyone is different, everyone has different reasons why they have that extra weight and everyone heals those reasons at different rates. Once we have healed any root causes for your extra pounds, we can then move to the next phase of monthly check-ins - your motivation booster ! Monthly check-ins are not compulsory and may only take 30 minutes ($40) if it is purely a reinforcement session. I may be offering group weight loss reinforcement sessions in the future, please check back later in the year.

In Mid-December 2005, I began my journey of "letting go," of over 50 lbs. In 7 months I had reduced my clothes size from a size 22 to a size 10 by using local store bought foods and healing the root causes behind my unhealthy eating patterns.

Now the fall of 2007, I am still a size 10 and I look better than I have ever looked before. My energy levels are great !. I honestly cannot envisage myself going back to my old eating patterns.

What is Your Body Mass Index?


The Canadian Guidelines for Body Weight Classification in Adults uses the BMI as one of the methods of assessing health risk. The other is waist circumference, with those waists over 40" in men and 35" in women considered as excess abdominal fat. These are only a generic guide and are not intended as a substitute for guidance from your Medical Doctor (GP) Other factors such as lifestyle habits, fitness level, and presence or absence of other health risk problems also need to be considered.<more info from Health Canada>

It is recommended that your BMI is less than 25 for minimized health risk. BMI's over 30 have a high risk of health problems possibly including Type 2 Diabetes, Hypertension, Coronary Heart Disease, Gallbladder Disease, Obstructive Sleep Apnea and certain Cancers: (Source Health Canada Web Site)
